It was only a matter of time. One of two things often reveal and spoil secrets for upcoming films and when it comes to comic books you can find most of the reveals in the merchandise. Today we have visual evidence of the villainous threats that the Avengers will tackle in Joss Whedon’s upcoming film ‘The Avengers’. I won’t say anything more and instead I ask you to take a look at these photos at your own risk. Behold the threat to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Thank God for Toy Fair. There has been numerous denials and an unhealthy lack of confirmation of any involvement of the Skrulls in this film but man alive those pink thingies look mighty Skrull-ish to me. There’s definitely an alien threat in this film and there were also rumors that this film would instead find it’s alien threat within the Kree which would have made sense considering Kevin Feige’s plans to develop a film about the Inhumans but this kind of evidence is difficult to dismiss. Are these Skrulls or just aliens that look a helluva lot like Skrulls and will instead go by a different name. Only time will tell…
