I’m about to say something that I never thought, I’ll get to say. I’m excited for a Johnny Depp movie! I know right, it’s been a while since Mr. Depp delivers a good performance. A while is a bit of an understatement; but, hey, that’s all in the past now. Black Mass is a true life story of Whitey Bulger. He is a ruthless criminal, who later becomes an snitch informant for the F.B.I., in an attempt, to take out competition. This is Johnny Depp’s return to greatness. He surrounds himself with a great cast which includes Kevin Bacon, Joel Edgerton, and Benedict Cumberatch. From what I read, Johnny did his research to truly embody the character of Bulger. Depp even went far as watching old F.B.I tapes, so he could capture the essence of Mr Bulger. Watch the trailer, and tell me if it doesn’t look amazing. I dare you.
