The tortured middleschool sterotypes have not been abused quite enough, so the bestselling book Diary of a Wimpy Kid was made into a film of the same name, and it actually looks pretty cute.
Yeah, its not going to change the face of film, but it looks like it might be a fun kid flick that will make my kids laugh without resorting to fart jokes. The “cute butt” thing was borderline, but it was well delivered from that innocence of the tween mind about to be corrupted with the reality of middleschool.

For a kid movie this looks pretty good.
The kid is young but it looks like he has some talent. Sony should sign this kid quick to play Spider-man.
My oldest son is 8 and loves the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. We’ll be going opening day, I’m sure.
My friend’s son loves this series and didn’t believe me when I told him they were making a movie, now I have proof! (which I have passed on) LoL The trailer is cute and looks like a fun kid movie. Not sure I’ll check it out in the theaters, but I’d definitely give it a DVD watch.

Don’t know, this could go either way. Its cool that it has nobody too famous in it, so perhaps they can concentrate on telling the story. On the other hand, is this a story we haven’t seen a thousand times before?
My cousin actually reads these books and she can draw them real well. In fact she drew a picture of her parents holding her little brother and saying “Oh, I love you Vinny!” and she was sitting in a corner muttering “I’m hungry…” LOL
hahaha that looks pretty funny. I’ll check it out when it comes to my on demand cable selection.
