Ellen Page Begs you not to Spoil Inception for Yourself
In an interview with Ellen Page regarding her role in Whip It! the conversation deviated briefly about her role in Christopher Nolan’s mystery film Inception.
When asked about the leaked set footage of a train driving down the street Page remained silent simply countering it with a plea to leave things secret so we don’t spoil the film for ourselves.
Collider gives us:
She told us she’s still filming the movie and implored us to not seek out any spoilers. She said, “Just don’t try and find out more. Just love it when it comes out in July. It’s going to be really cool.” She also told us that it’s a five-month shoot which is typical for a big summer movie.
There are plenty of things that Miss Page could ask me that I would do without question. However when she is asked to spill and THIS is her response, you can’t help but be even MORE curious about the film.
With this job, sometimes things get spoiled for me that I really didn’t want to know before hand, but now I am even more itchy to find out about Inception.
Thanks Ellen. Now I can’t NOT try to find out more about this.
Maybe I can resist.
i love me some ellen page and am a huge fan of nolan…the last thing i wanna do is spoil this movie, i will be blocking any info about this movie just so i wont be spoiled….i did the same thing waiting for the momento dvd and ill do it again here….i reckon this movie is gonna be a major mindfuck
I’m trying to avoid spoilers. But, temptation gets th best of me.
I like Ellen Page, but it ruins the movie for me a little to know she’s in it. For some reason, badass sci-fi and Juno just don’t mix.
How do YOU know???
Oddly when I think of Ellen Page I don’t think of Juno. I think of Hard Candy, An American Crime, Smart People, and even X-Men 3… perhaps this is because I saw all of those before I saw Juno.
my God an american crime was one of the most haunting and powerful movies ive seen in a long time…page was excellent in it and its a heartbreaking story
I will watch this because I’m a fan of Chris Nolan, not because Ellen Page is in it or because she asked me not to spoil it. I hated Juno and Hard Candy mainly because of her; Juno mainly due to it’s awful hipster dawson’s creek dialogue as well, but I just don’t like her as an actress.
So, did you hate the writing, or did you hate her performance?
I just don’t like ellen page as an actress. I also wasn’t fond of the dialogue (writing) of juno. I had the script a few months back and just wasn’t impressed. Believe me, I get crap for it all the time. I’m the only person down where I live in my social circle that didn’t like juno. It just did nothing for me, I was pretty sketchy because of ellen page being in it to begin with though.
I’ll likely watch this b/c Ellen Page is in it. I want to support an actress from my home town :)
In fact, my wife (vet) takes care of her dog…so she’s practically family :p
